Recent Events and Performances

Graduation - Caroline participated in the UF Fine Arts Department graduation for the College of Fine Arts, Friday, April 30, 1:00 p.m., University Auditorium.

Commencement - Caroline attended commencement for
Advanced Degrees, All Colleges
(Masters, Specialist, Ed.D., Au.D., D.P.M. and Ph.D.) which took place on

Saturday, May 1, 9:00 a.m. Processional at 8:30 a.m.
Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Caroline had the honor of having been requested to sing The National Anthem and the Alma Mater at this event.
She now has her M.M. degree.


Past Productions and Appearances

The opera "Susannah" - Caroline portrayed the part of Susannah in Carlisle Floyd's opera "Susannah". This opera took place on Thursday, April 8th and on Saturday, April 10th 2010 at UF in the Black Box.
McGuire Pavilion Black Box Theater School of Theatre and Dance, McCarty Drove, McGuire Pavilion 32611. Saturday night's performance was a S.R.O crowd and a standing ovation.

Accreditation Committee - Caroline represented the Vocal Music Department for the Accreditation Committee at UF on Monday, April 5th, 2010 at 5 pm, by singing "Ain't it a Pretty Night".

Master's Recital - Caroline's UF Graduate Master's recital was presented Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Building on campus. Caroline thanks her many family, friends, teachers (past and present) and fellow students (past and present) that attended. She also thanks the tech people, the sound recording people (Natalie) and others. The DVD of this recital (made by her brother Jon) is in high def and is awesome!

Caroline enjoys doing Voice Over work for an animated series in which she speaks as well as sings. She also gives private lessons to vocal students.

Opera Workshop Outreach - in Sarasota, FL on Sunday, January 31, 2010
Caroline sang from a couple scenes as Mimi in the opera La Boheme; as Pamina in The Magic Flute; and as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro - 2010.

University Choir Concerts - University of Florida (one concert per season, various solos).

Flute Choir Concerts - University of Florida (holidays).

Alumni and talent program - was at the Grand Theater at Gibbs High School in June. This event was a fund raiser enabling the PCCA students' trip to Scotland - 2009.

Salvador Dali Museum - Caroline sang "La Promessa" by Rossini at the museum in May. This event was a fund raiser for the Florida Arts Scholarship (formerly known as Florida's First Lady's Scholarship) championed by Columba Bush. Caroline was one of the  2004 winners. Besides former Governor and First Lady, Jeb and Columba Bush, in attendance were the mayor of St. Petersburg, Rick Baker, the head of the Salvidore Dali Museum and heads of various banks and businesses in and around St. Petersburg, FL - 2009.

The opera Tosca - Caroline played the part of a nun in this opera and was the voice of Tosca in the scene through the library window. Also was the assistant stage manager - 2009.


The opera, the Impresario - Miss Silverpeal (presented on the UF campus and various places around Florida as an opera outreach program) - 2009.


Undergrad Performances

Caroline sang the part of the Youth in Mendelssohn’s oratorio, "Elijah", as well as singing various solos in the Mozart "Requiem" and Mozart "Coronation Mass", and for Beethoven’s "Choral Fantasy" with the Bach Festival Choir of Winter Park, FL.

Another special performance was singing the soprano solo “Die Seele Ruht” in Bach’s "Cantata 127, Herr Jesu Christ, Wahr’ Mensch und Gott", under the direction of Christoph Wolf Adams - university professor, permanent visiting professor of Harvard University.

Caroline sang at the Scholarship Concert, “WOMEN IN MUSIC”, held on  February 17, 2008 at the Sanlando United Methodist Church, Longwood, FL.

She was selected by President Duncan to sing "The Lord's Prayer" at Baccalaureate and the Alma Mater at Rollins Commencement - May 2008.

Caroline has performed voice and flute solos at the First Congregational Church of Winter Park, the University Club of Winter Park, St. Andrews United Methodist Church, the Knowles Memorial Chapel and the Palm Harbor Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.  She occasionally performed flute solos at churches in the Gainesville, FL area.
